Task Coach Structure

In this lesson, you will build a simple task coach using the Page, Row, Button and Group coach views.

Add the Toolkits to Your Process App

Add the ACV2 Toolkit to your process application. This contains the coach views that you will use. Add the ACV Example Services toolkit to your process application as well. This contains the variable types that this lesson uses.

Create the Edit Product Human Service

Create a human service named Edit Product. Add a "product" input of type Product.

Add the Edit Product Coach

Add a coach named "Edit Product". Connect the Start event to the Edit Product coach.

Set the Filters in your Palette

In the palette on the right uncheck 'Show All' and select the'Behavior', 'Field', and 'Layout' to display only the ACV2 coach views.

Add a Page Coach View

Start your coach by removing the 'OK' button. Add a Page coach view and a Container View within the page. Set the container type to 'Full Width'.

Add a Row Coach View

Now add a Row coach view and set the label to "Edit Product".

Run the Service

Run the service to see the results.

Add Save and Cancel Buttons

Add two Button coach views inside the Row and set their labels to "Save" and "Cancel". Set their Responsive Width to 2 and Option to "Primary" and run the service.

Try Different Responsive Widths and Options

Experiment with different responsive width settings and Options to see how they affect the buttons, in this picture we set Option on "Cancel" to "Warning", and its Responsive Width to 3.

Put the Buttons in a Group

Now add a Group coach view to the Row and move the buttons inside the group. Set the responsive width on the group to 3 and remove the responsive widths from the buttons.

Run the Service

See how the buttons are grouped in a more compact layout with their "natural" width ACV2T1-1-11.png
